2018 WORKSHOPS

Joshua Tree April 19 to 22, 2018

Joshua Tree is yet another great destination in late winter. When temperatures dip and late winter storms still rage, southern California is an oasis of warmth and Joshua tree is a study of positive and negative space; as the giant monolithic rocks play beautifully against the graceful Joshua Trees growing at their base. The instructors here will emphasize positive and negative space composition as we roam this beautiful and intricate landscape.

Olympic Peninsula April 26 to 29, 2018

In an attempt to offer something different from our previous Olympic Peninsula workshops we are going to include some new locations and projects to work on in the field using 6-stop neutral density filters.
Wilderness envelops most of the Olympic Peninsula, an unrefined and enchanting place that promises craggy, snowcapped peaks, pristine evergreen forests, and driftwood-covered coastlines. This is a wonderland where the scent of saltwater and pine hang in the air and the horizon sometimes seems to make the entire world appear to be shades of blue and green.
The varied landscape provides ocean views with sculpted sea stacks, old growth forest, waterfalls, and wildlife.

Columbia River Gorge Workshop June 14 to 19, 2018

Join Gavriel Jecan in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, which is arguably one of the most beautiful attractions in the Pacific Northwest! Explore the Gorge with Gavriel as it transitions between temperate rainforest to dry grasslands in only 80 miles, hosting a dramatic change of scenery. The field locations will not be limited to the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Gav will also take the group to some locations that will

A single image can have the power to stimulate the imagination and the intellect while also telling a story that awakens the senses. Our challenge is to explore the nature of creativity itself and discover ways to bring its power to your images.

Pro Tours Hidden Southwest: Moab, UT. October 25 to 28, 2018

Moab is virtually the epicenter of the southwest outdoor world. A beautiful small town boasting a variety of great restaurants, but it is the landscape around it that makes Moab the place to be. With canyon lands and Arches National park virtually surrounding the town we go out during the day and work the land playing with form and light and texture. An added bonus is the array of stars that come out at night and at least on one occasion we will go up into Arches National park and play with the landscape as juxtaposed against the southern skies. One final attraction is the myriad of rock panels of ancient First Nation’s art. Pictographs and petroglyphs abound on the walls adjoining the river. Come and join us learn and roam and play in an amazing landscape.
